most of what I write starts as a note I made for myself — after a hard conversation in a boardroom, a case that didn't go the way the textbook said it should, a system that technically worked and still failed someone. Writing it down is how I find out what I actually think. Publishing it is the dare — putting the half-formed argument out where someone can tell me I'm wrong.
